Yield Search
Overview
Property Prospector has data for average yield per region.
You can use this in one of two ways:
- Choose a region to buy properties in, based on potential yield, or
- View the potential yield of the areas you are buying in.
Yields can vary wildly within a region - the average per region is around 4% - 6%, but within a given region you may see yields as low as 2% or as high as 20%. Of course, these are averages, and you may be able to outperform the market.
All figures are given as a general guide only. As with any investment, past performance does not guarantee future performance.
View Yields
The Yield Search can be accessed from the lefthand menu.
By default, you'll see a map of England, colour coded to give a general indication of lower and higher yield areas.
Doubleclick on a region on the map or zoom in using your mouse. As you zoom in, you'll see local yield data displayed on the right hand side of the page, which becomes more granular as you keep zooming in. You can also pan the mouse by clicking and dragging.
As you zoom into a city or region, you'll see brightly coloured circles on the map, colour coded by average yield. Clicking any of these (or continuing to zoom in) will provide a list of postcodes for the region.
Click any postcode to be taken to a search page for that postcode. By default, properties within 0.5 miles will be displayed, sorted by yield. You can update the sesarch settings to your liking and view or save any of the properties displayed.
⚠️ Do not use the yield calculator for holiday lets or temporary / part time residences. PaTMa's yield calculator assumes the property is available as a permanent residence and does not receive information on lets with restricted availability. ⚠️
