Planning Applications
Overview
Property Prospector allows you to keep up with any planning applications near your prospects or properties. There are three ways to do this:
- A planning search by region.
- A planning monitor for applications in regions you select.
- A planning overview for properties on your shortlist.
Planning Search
The Planning Search takes a postcode (or prefix - eg LN10) and radius, and displays all nearby planning applications. The radius is only used if you enter a specific postcode, otherwise everything in the post code region is displayed.
You can also filter by the decision status and add a timeframe for applications.
Click any Application ID in the results to be taken to the council website, where you can usually view additional information.
You can also view the results on a map by clicking Show as map. This can help you see exactly where development may take place.
Finally, click Monitor for new applications if you want to keep up with new applications in this region. This will create a Planning Monitor for you.
Planning Monitor
Planning Monitors allow you to keep up with new planning applications in whichever regions you're interested in.
A planning monitor can be created from the Planning Search. You will receive notifications when new planning applications are made in the region covered by the monitor.
You can delete or edit a planning monitor by clicking the trashcan or the edit icon respectively.
Other property monitors are available**.
Planning Overview
When viewing a property in search or on your shortlist, click the Planning tab to see local planning info for the region. You can view applications as a list or on a map around the property.
